Before I began my healing journey from sexual assault, I saw my life much like the bare tree in this picture. I didn’t feel as though I had much to offer the world. However, when I looked at my reflection in the lake I could see the promise of God for a life of abundance. I was hopeful to experience freedom from the pain of my past; I knew I was capable of reaching a point where I could fulfill the purpose of God on my life. But it was ONLY a reflection of the bare tree that I was living until I took intentional steps to pursue healing.
